Laura is co-founder and principal at turnerboone, where she is responsible for business development, marketing, and brand strategy. Combining an art and design background with sales leadership success, Laura has over 20 years of experience in the contract furniture industry. In 2010, Laura was awarded 3rd place in Business to Business Magazine’s Top 25 Entrepreneurs. She is also a former board member of CREW Atlanta.
Dana has just completed her first year as the Senior Manager of Talent Acquisition and Talent Development at Comcast Inc. Dana has spent 25 amazing years as a strategic business partner in Human Resources. As a HR leader, Dana has proven transformational results in Talent Acquisition, workforce planning, organizational effectiveness, and leadership development. Dana has contributed to brands such as Bayer Healthcare, MTV Networks, Sirius Satellite Radio and Apple Inc.
Alma G. Davis

The foundation was founded in 2005 by Alma, a world-renowned entrepreneur, motivational speaker, and visionary. Most recently, Ms. Davis’ work and expertise was acknowledged by her selection as a member of Leadership Atlanta’s Class of 2019 . She was the recipient of the 2017 “Humanitarian Award” from the National Coalition of 100 Black Women – Metro Atlanta Chapter, and was selected as a finalist for the 2017 & 2016 Presidential Leadership Scholars program by the combined presidential centers of George W. Bush, William J. Clinton, George H.W. Bush, and Lyndon B. Johnson. She was acknowledged as a 2016 “Change Maker” during the White House Summit: United State of Women, and was also extended a special invitation to the White House where she met with the Senior Advisor to Vice President Joseph R. Biden, Jr. and the White House Advisor on Violence Against Women to discuss continued strategies to combat domestic violence. Additionally, she was recognized as one of the 2016 “Top 25 Women of Atlanta”.
Cheryl has been with Georgia Power for 29 years. Her experience with the company has included various roles in sales and marketing, energy efficiency, customer service, distribution engineering and project management for company executives. In addition, Cheryl is a past State President for the Citizens of Georgia Power, which is a group of around 4000 Georgia Power Company employees (and their spouses) that performs charitable work across the state of Georgia.
Judge Eric K. Dunaway
Superior Court of Fulton County
Judge Dunaway currently serves on the Superior Court of Fulton County. Judge Dunaway is an active member of several bar associations including the Atlanta Bar Association, State Bar of Georgia, North Fulton Bar Association, South Fulton Bar Association, Gate City Bar Association, Georgia Association of Black Women Attorneys (GABWA), Georgia Hispanic Bar Association and Stonewall Bar Association. Judge Dunaway is also a member of the 2019 Class of Leadership Atlanta.
Jeffrey L. Glazier
Retired, Deputy Chief of Atlanta Police Department
Jeff is the former Deputy Chief in charge of the Atlanta Police Department’s Field Operations Division. Previously, Glazier served as Commander of the Zone 3 precinct, where he received the 2015 Crime Reduction Award. During his 25 year career with the Atlanta Police Department, Glazier has served as the director of the Herbert T. Jenkins Atlanta Police Academy, Lieutenant, Sergeant, and Robbery Detective. In 2005 he managed the largest capital project in the history of the Atlanta Police Department: the construction of the New Public Safety Headquarters, 911 Center and Public Safety Annex. Upon completion, he became the Commander of the Narcotics Unit with the goal of disrupting and dismantling the illegal drug trade In the City of Atlanta. Jeff is also a member of the 2019 Class of Leadership Atlanta.
Georgia Aquarium Foundation
Joe is the newly appointed President of Georgia Aquarium Foundation, having served as Georgia Aquarium's President and Chief Operating Officer since 2017. Beyond his work at Georgia Aquarium, Handy is heavily involved in the community. He serves on the KSU Foundation Board of Trustees and the Strategic Planning Committee, the Advisory Boards of Kennesaw State University Business School, Central Atlanta Progress, the Morehouse Leadership Honor Society and, the Board of Directors for the Georgia Chamber of Commerce (Metro Atlanta Chamber). Handy is also a member of the 100 Black Men of N. Metro Atlanta and serves as Co-Chair of the Celebration Bowl Advisory Board. Under Handy’s leadership, Georgia Aquarium was the recipient of the 2019 Marcus Downtown Economic Impact Award. Handy received the Atlanta Business League 2018 Men of Influence Award, the Georgia Senate Remarkable and Distinguished Georgian Resolution in March 2019, ICABA – Atlanta’s Leading Influencers Award, May 2019, Secretary of State’s Outstanding Georgia Citizen Award, July 2019, Executive in Residence at Kennesaw State’s College of Business for the 2019 Fall semester, is a member of the Leadership Atlanta Class 2019, and most recently announced Chairman of the Board for Atlanta Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children (CASA).
Elizabeth Hoemeke (Secretary)
Elizabeth is the Senior Vice President of IT Strategy & Global Business Services for Elavon, a leading global provider of merchant acquiring services and integrated payments processing. With more than 20 years of experience in Product Development and Information Technology, Elizabeth currently leads a global organization of over 300 associates. Elizabeth is the co-creator of The Greenhouse, Elavon’s technology innovation lab, and holds a patent for a robotic automation solution for EMV certification. She is involved with several professional and charitable organizations such as WIT, TechBridge, ATP, Girls, Inc. and Year Up, an organization that helps urban youth. She is a member of the 2019 Class of Leadership Atlanta.
Byron Johnson (Vice-Chair)
Byron, a certified Master Blackbelt (DMAIC, DFSS and Lean) , has held a number of executive positions in multiple industries including defense, transportation, energy, finance, insurance, healthcare, pharma, and manufacturing over the past seventeen years. He is currently the Vice President for Wells Fargo Whole Business Process Management. Byron prides himself on volunteering with his fraternity, church and many other civic organizations and takes every opportunity to positively affect the lives of those he comes into contact with.
Gwendolyn is an ardent professional with 40 years of global experience coaching and developing employees, senior business leaders, high-potential leaders, and key professionals who are challenged with the constant changing evolution of business practice in the corporate culture. She served as the Global Human Resources Compensation Committee Chair, Chair of Diversity Leadership Development, Co-Chair to the Women Leadership Development Committee, Human Resources Executive Roundtable of Atlanta which is sponsored by Georgia State University. She also served as a Board Member of Big Brother, Big Sister of Houston and New Orleans, and as the District Congressional Awareness Representative to Congressman Martin Frost - at the time, the highest ranking member of the House Rules Committee. Gwendolyn currently serves on the board of Atlanta CASA.
